IMI arranged a roundtable discussion with the topic “Future of innovation management”. Seppo Laukkanen (Associate Vice President at Aalto University) started the event by presenting Aalto University’s strategy framework and telling about ways of working together with partners. During the afternoon representatives from different companies (Plastex, YLE, RAY,Neste, Valmet), researchers and professors from Aalto-University and policy makers (TEM, Tekes) had a lively discussion together. Answers were looked for example to the following questions:
- What are the development challenges and topics for future investments in the companies?
- What are expectations from university research?
- What can we do together?
- How could we collaborate together in a more efficient way?
This kind of roundtable discussion afternoon was considered very valuable to raise awareness and to improve industry-academy-policy maker collaboration.
